It will pack itself right?

I should really consider getting some laundry done so I can pack. Instead I cleaned the kitchen and am now considering a nap. Oops.

All over the place

So, next week Ang and I depart for our trip to fabulous New Orleans. I have yet to do a damn thing to prepare. Looking at the weather for next week down there, I may need to re-consider my packing choices slightly. OK, I need to consider including a pair of jeans. Which means I have to buy a pair that fits.

A number of other things must be tended to before I head out. Not the least of which includes said packing. Of course that also means I need something to pack my crap in. The decision was made some time ago to purchase something with wheels. Since we are doing carry on only and will have a layover each way, I don't want to be toting the damn bag on my shoulder.

My feet are currently freezing. And I do mean freezing. I have actually had to turn the space heater under this desk on. Which reminds me, I miss my desk and all my accoutrements. For the past couple of days I have been stuck in someone else's office because for whatever reason they feel they are more important to me and there needs to be an ass in the seat. Whatever.

Like how this is jumping all over the place? Welcome to my brain lately. It is all over the place so I shall make anyone who happens upon this woefully neglected place suffer as well. You're welcome.

Sometime in the last 37 seconds I had the urge to touch my left shoulder. I am unhappy to report that it is painful to the touch. Thanks physical therapist lady. You have made me hurt worse than I hurt before I went in there. The best part, I had to pay for it.

So yeah, I don't get around here nearly as much as I would like to. I miss this place. You can, however, find me on the uber evil known for allowing 140 character updates. That box up there on the left will point you in the correct direction. Follow me, especially if you happen to be a hot, intellectually stimulating, self-sufficient male with interesting hobbies that do not include mass murder, stalking or anything equally as unsavory. If you aren't, that's OK too. I'm really not that picky, but you can't blame me for trying. Right?

In which nothing goes as planned

OK, so that title might be a tad misleading. Its not like there has been a giant personal disaster or many small disasters equating to one giant one. It is only to imply that really, nothing has gone exactly as planned. Not that things ever to.

So, I got this upgrade at work. Big hooray for more money. Not real sure about the supervisory aspect since there are problem children in my department. We shall have to see how it goes and I will let you know when the bodies start stacking up.

In the same week my computer blew up and the water heater went out. Joy. The water heater has been replaced. The computer shipped (finally) this morning. With any luck I will be able to see hair on a frog's ass. Well, I better be able to anyway or someone is going to get an earful. Luckily it was merely a capacitor meltdown so my hard drive is safe. In theory.

On the upside, Ang's birthday outing has been scheduled. We will be spending Halloween weekend in Nawlins. Looking forward to the time away, the food, the booze and the ghosts. Oh and celebrating her birthday. Yeah. And I can't forget coffee and/or lunch with Friday!

I still haven't processed those videos from the great journey to Flagstaff in July. Maybe I should put that at the top of the list for when the new rig arrives. After some serious WoW instancing with my new uber graphics of course.

This weekend Ang and I will be heading to Something Scottish and next weekend holds Age of Chivalry. The local ren faire gives me a reason to bitch about historical inaccuracies and all the faeries running around. Douchey vampire kids!

Exactly

I'm still around. I Twitter more than anything. Probably because most of the time I am entirely too tired to put together complete sentences.

Currently working on planning Ang's birthday trip. It pisses me off. I love going places, hate when things don't cooperate.

Also need to get the video from our last outing to fabulous Flagstaff posted. I even have a blog for that. heh

The List

With my history of being unable to actually complete any projects I start, I don't have high hopes for any of this coming to fruition, but I shall try.

Over the next couple of months:

  • Get back to the gym
  • Sell a bunch of shit on eBay
  • Get rid of what I can't manage to sell
  • Pack and move
  • Decide on a new hairstyle

Over the next six months:

  • Seriously get to work making/selling BJD jewelry & clothing
  • Procure a sewing machine and serger
  • Find an artist to create the art for a new tattoo

Over the next year:

  • Only purchase second hand clothing
  • Learn to alter said clothing
  • Pay off a shitload of bills
  • Cook more and eat out less

I don't intend to take anything off this list, but I may add things to it.

Seekrit

So I am planning a birthday thing for myself.  The only confirmed atendee: Ang.  Well, to be honest I haven't tecnhically "invited" her yet.

I have a grand weekend planned full of booze and men.  Hot ones.  I know where to get the booze, just have to find the men.

Not to mention the little detail of inviting people.

All at a sooper seekrit location of course.  If you want the password just ask.  Because, you know, I'm exclusive like that.

So a platypus walks into a strip club...

I'm tired.

Something has to give.  Well, that may not be the correct verbage, but that is what it feels like.  It may be more proper to state that something has to change.  Waking up wondering if you are going to have a job gets old.  People changing the rules gets old.  I know, I know, I'm not the only person in the world dealing with this shit, but it feels like it most days.

I suppose I shouldn't bitch.  I can still pay my bills.  Maybe I just need to have more fun.  Maybe I need to get laid.  Maybe I need to exercise the grey matter more.  Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Speaking of... I am sick and fucking tired of listening to people bitch about the economy.  Deal with it.  If you have 7 mortgages and suddenly find yourself unable to pay for even one that's not my fault.  I don't want to listen to you whine.  If you gambled all your money away and can't pay your bills, that is also not my fault.  I don't want to listen to your diatribe about that either.

So yeah.  I'm a tad unstable at the moment.  Swinging like a monkey in a banana tree.  I feel unpretty and lonely while at the same time I don't want to deal with anyone.  When mom was here last week I enjoyed the relative anonymity of being on the Strip.  I didn't know anyone and they didn't know me.  Down there you can be anything you want and no one will know the difference.  Because, you know, I still hate the general public enough to not actually talk to them.  Hey, it works for me.

I wish....

Just moments ago I came across the disturbing news that there is a craptastic theme cruise planned.  My immediate thoughts were conveyed to Ang via IM.

Zombie: There is going to be a Twilight cruise.  Wonder if it will get hijacked?
Zombie: And if it does I hope it is by real vampires.  heh
